Dr. Carpenter is originally from North Dakota and moved to Nebraska as a teen. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Wildlife Ecology at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska, and earned her DVM from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduating, she practiced medicine in Kansas before she and her family moved to Arizona to be closer to family. She has been practicing in the East Valley since 2007.
Dr. Carpenter’s areas of interest include urgent care and general medicine, with an emphasis on feline medicine. As a veterinarian, the exam rooms are her favorite place as she enjoys caring for pets and getting to know their people. Dr. Carpenter loves seeing science in action every day!
She lives with her husband Ben and daughter Tristan, and she also has a grown daughter named Jordan, who has blessed her with a granddaughter, Rowan. Their menagerie of furry family members includes one Dalmation and six cats! When she has time to unwind, she enjoys streaming and reading sci-fi, crocheting, and attending musicals at Gammage in Tempe.
