Dr. Christina Barber is originally from Michigan. She always loved animals and wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. Dr. Barber attended Michigan State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She continued her academic career at Michigan State University studying at the College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009.
She moved to Arizona after being accepted into a prestigious internship program at a local specialty referral and emergency hospital. Once her internship was completed, she decided to stay and leave the snow behind! She has practiced general medicine throughout the East Valley where her special areas of interest include pain management, the human animal bond, and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Barber lives with her husband, Chase, and their young children, Harper and Noah. Their household currently includes two greyhounds – Billie (after Wild Bill Hickok) and Doc Holliday, as well as two cats – Ronde and Rainbow. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, attending local events, football, and of course a die-hard Michigan State fan!
